Henna Powder Bulk Price Guide: Sojat Origin, 2026

Get a bulk quote Email the export desk

Henna pricing is unusually transparent for a botanical: the crop is concentrated around one Rajasthani town, Sojat, and the trade publishes its numbers. As of mid-2026 our own published listings for natural henna powder sit around Rs 150 to 180 per kg ex-works by grade. This guide explains what sits inside that range, why origin matters, and how to compare quotes without being caught by a specification trick.

Why Sojat sets the reference price

Sojat is where Rajasthani henna is aggregated, dried, graded and ground; the surrounding arid belt grows a crop known for strong dye content. Prices quoted “ex-works Sojat” are as close to the origin market as henna gets. We manufacture in Sojat, so our quotes carry no trader margin between the mandi and the bag.

Buyer noteAn offer well below the Sojat market is not a bargain until the COA says so. Coarse sieve, old crop and stem-heavy grinding all produce a cheaper kilogram that costs more per unit of dye delivered.

What moves a henna quote

Grade and sieve mesh. Finer, body-art grades price at the top of the range; coarser blend grades below it. The mesh number is the single biggest price lever, which is why our BAQ vs regular grade guide exists.

Crop year. Lawsone fades with age. Fresh-crop powder commands more than carryover stock, and should say so on the COA date.

Volume and continuity. Container programs price differently from one-pallet trials. Tell the export desk your real annual picture.

Packing. Standard 25 kg export bags are the baseline; custom-printed retail-ready bags add cost but save a repacking step at destination.

Certification requirements. Lots documented for GMP, Halal, Organic or FSSAI programs carry the audit and handling overhead of those schemes.

Comparing quotes properly

Put every offer on the same basis before comparing: same mesh, same additive-free declaration, same delivery term (ex-works, FOB Mundra, or CIF your port), same packing. Then ask each supplier for a per-lot COA covering lawsone, moisture, ash, foreign matter and microbial limits. The honest quotes will look remarkably similar; the outlier will usually have a specification reason.

Frequently asked questions

What is the bulk price of henna powder per kg?

As of mid-2026 our published listing prices for natural henna powder are around Rs 150 to 180 per kg ex-works Sojat, with sieve mesh and grade setting the position. Volume, packing and destination then shape the landed cost, so use the range as a benchmark and request a firm quote.

Why does Sojat henna matter?

Sojat in Rajasthan is the recognised center of the henna trade; the crop from the surrounding belt is prized for its dye content and the town concentrates the processing and grading expertise. Manufacturing at origin, as we do, removes a layer of intermediaries from the price.

Why are some henna offers so much cheaper?

Common reasons: coarser sieve sold against a fine-mesh expectation, older crop with faded lawsone, high stem content, or blends padded with other leaf. If a number is far below the origin market, the specification usually explains it. Insist on a per-lot COA.

Do you supply custom sieve mesh and private label bags?

We sieve to the buyer’s specified mesh and pack in standard export bags with custom-printed options available. Share mesh, volume and destination for a firm quote within 24 hours.
