Who sources this ingredient
40% triterpenes, or the individual fractions
The standard trade grade is 40% total triterpenes by HPLC. Beyond that we supply the individual fractions a cosmetic or supplement specification may name instead: asiaticoside at 40% and madecassoside at 70%. Skin-care formulators are usually the ones asking for madecassoside specifically, because that is the fraction the Korean and European cica category is built on. Herb powder is available for traditional and Ayurvedic use at a fraction of the extract price.
Gotu kola, Centella asiatica, and brahmi
This plant is called brahmi in parts of India, which collides with Bacopa monnieri, also called brahmi and sold for a different purpose. We quote against the binomial for that reason. Our brahmi line is the Bacopa. If a specification says brahmi without a binomial, send it over and we will confirm which plant is meant before quoting.
