Who sources this ingredient
10% and higher andrographolide extract
Andrographolide is the marker and the standard supplement grade is 10%, with more concentrated grades available up to 50% by HPLC where a formulation needs the dose in a smaller capsule. Dry herb is available for traditional and Ayurvedic manufacture at a fraction of extract pricing. Buyers should specify the percentage and the assay method rather than just asking for kalmegh extract.
Known as the king of bitters
Andrographis is among the most bitter botanicals in common use, which is a formulation constraint rather than a curiosity: it effectively rules out unencapsulated or chewable formats without heavy masking. Buyers new to the ingredient should factor that in before designing the delivery format. Organic is available, MOQ 50 kg, GMP certified with a COA on every lot.
