Who sources this ingredient
Whole-plant powder, coarse cut, extract
Shankpushpi is used as the whole plant rather than a single part. Powder is the volume form for Ayurvedic manufacture, coarse cut suits infusion and extraction, and standardised extract goes to supplement formulators. Organic is available. MOQ 50 kg with a Certificate of Analysis on every lot.
Convolvulus pluricaulis, and the substitutions
Shankpushpi is one of the more substituted names in the Ayurvedic trade: at least three unrelated plants are sold under it depending on region. We supply Convolvulus pluricaulis and quote against the binomial. If a specification you have been sent just says shankpushpi, send it over, because the substitute species have different compounds and a formulation registered against one is not satisfied by another.
