Who sources this ingredient
65%, 70% boswellic acids and a 30% AKBA grade
Total boswellic acids at 65% or 70% by HPLC is the standard trade specification. The 30% AKBA grade is separate: AKBA (acetyl-11-keto-beta-boswellic acid) is the individual fraction that modern joint-health specifications increasingly name, and the enriched grade concentrates it well above natural levels. A water-dispersible form is available for buyers whose format needs it. These are not interchangeable, so quote against the figure your specification actually states.
Heavy metals under 10ppm, and species matters
Heavy metals are held below 10ppm and stated per lot, which is the threshold most nutraceutical purchase specifications set. The species is Boswellia serrata, the Indian one behind essentially all standardised boswellic acid material, and it is not the Arabian or African aromatic incense species.
