40% triterpenes, or the named fractions
40% total triterpenoids by HPLC is the standard grade. Beyond it we supply the individual fractions a cosmetic specification is more likely to name: madecassoside at 70% and asiaticoside at 40%. Water soluble is available for serum and essence formats. The cica skincare category is built on madecassoside specifically, so a specification written for that market usually names it rather than the total.
When the whole herb is enough
Ayurvedic and traditional formulators generally want herb powder, which our gotu kola line covers at a far lower price.
