Harad, baheda and amla at 1:1:1
Triphala is the three-fruit Ayurvedic blend and the classical ratio is equal parts harad (Terminalia chebula), baheda (Terminalia bellirica) and amla (Phyllanthus emblica). We hold that 1:1:1 ratio, which sounds obvious and is not: blends sold as Triphala at a low price are often weighted toward whichever fruit was cheapest that season. Ask any supplier for the ratio in writing.
Total tannins 40-60%, gallic acid quantified
The extract is standardised on total tannins by HPLC at 40% or 60%, with gallic acid quantified separately and heavy metals held below 10ppm. Water soluble and full spectrum grades are available. Buyers who want the three fruits separately rather than pre-blended can take amla, harad and baheda as individual lines from the same desk, which is what formulators adjusting the ratio themselves usually prefer.
